Field Day Fun

Oh my gosh, Field Day was a blast!  The weather was absolutely perfect and the volunteers were amazing!  Here a few pictures from our fun day. 

Cupcakes

We had so much fun decorating cupcakes this week!  A huge thank you to Aimee DeRoehn and Kathy Underwood for helping out and for all the donations!  I hope your child enjoyed the cupcakes.  We began working on our otter canvases.  The children sketched their otter and we will began painting today.

Chicks

The chicks are getting so big!  Today the children had a chance to hold  and observe the chicks.  They will be leaving us next week!  Here  are a few pictures from today.

Saying Goodbye

Today we had to say goodbye to one of our Otter classmates as she is moving to New York. We wish her the best and shall miss her greatly!  We celebrated with a goodbye party, complete with popcorn, dancing and a visit from Mrs. Coad's new puppy, Angel.

A Few Things

Today was absolutely gorgeous outside!  The children had a great time playing on the field by the garden.  I wanted to share a few pictures with you.

Also, I wanted to remind you that Wednesday is an early release and Thursday is our field trip!

Today the children worked on the front and back covers of their books.  They had a choice of creating an all about book or a riddle book.   Creating collage illustrations is messy work!  Luckily the Otters are great at cleaning up and taking care of our classroom.
